Nabil G. Sawabini – Chairman & CEO |

Nabil Sawabini founded MENA Capital S.A.L. in September 2004. In 1996, he founded and became President and CEO of Middle East Capital Group (MECG), a regional Investment and Merchant Banking firm headquartered in Beirut, with international and regional institutions and Middle Eastern business and investor groups among its shareholders. Mr. Sawabini was earlier with J P Morgan, where he spent twenty years in the US, Europe and the Middle East and in positions of increasing responsibility, including Head – Global Asset Services, Head – International Securities Sales and Trading, Managing Director – Corporate Finance and Specialized Finance (Petroleum and shipping of commodities) as well as Treasury and Foreign Exchange.
In 1991/1992, Mr. Sawabini was president of the American University of Beirut (AUB) Alumni of North America, after serving on the board for four years. He is also founder and Chairman of the Entrepreneurial Development Foundation (EDF), since its inception in 1999. EDF is a not-for-profit organization, serving to develop and provide financial support to entrepreneurs in Lebanon.
Mr. Sawabini graduated from the American University of Beirut with a BBA degree in 1973.

Ziad R. Maalouf – Senior Vice President |

Prior to co-founding MENA Capital in 2004, Mr. Maalouf was Vice President, Merchant Banking & Corporate Finance at MECG (1997-2004) in Beirut, where he directed the execution of Corporate Finance & Merchant Banking activities across all product areas, including equity, debt and M&A, with significant exposure to numerous industries, including real estate.
Prior to joining MECG, Mr. Maalouf was Senior Market Analyst-Head of MENA region at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Emerging Markets Group, in Washington DC from 1994 to 1997. During his tenure at the IFC, he structured and managed investment products and funds (index-linked) for over US$500 million of assets under management, for leading global asset management firms. This allowed him to develop in-depth knowledge of the MENA region’s investment, economic, political and regulatory environments. Mr. Maalouf holds a B.S. in International Business & Finance from Marymount University in Virginia, and a Master’s degree in Financial Economics from the American University in Washington DC.

Mohamad A.R. Dandan – Owner's Rep / Project Management |

Mr. Dandan has over 20 years of experience in project development, with expertise in quantity surveying, cost management, project management, design/supervision and field inspections, among others. Mr. Dandan was President of DECO, a Lebanese construction company, from 1995 to 2006, and before that he spent 15 years in the United States where he was exposed to various projects as an engineer and project manager. Mr. Dandan is a Civil Engineer, and holds a MS Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA).

Michel Khoury – Architecture & Interior Design Coordinator |

Mr. Khoury has 12 years of architecture and interior design experience with both El Seif contracting and United Lebanese Company for Contracting.
Prior to joining MENA Capital , Mr. Khoury worked for El Seif contracting as Project Coordinator for the Marina Towers project . Mr. Khoury is an architect, and he holds a MS Degree in architecture from Academie Libanaise des Beaux Arts ( ALBA).

Sélim Yasmine – Real Estate Marketing & Sales Manager |

Mr. Yasmine has 10 years experience in marketing and sales in different industries. Prior to joining MENA capital, he was Sales and Marketing Manager at Emaar Properties - the Dubai based property developer - in charge of commercializing several real estate developments in Dubai, KSA, and the Levant. Mr Yasmine was also marketing and brand manager for different FMCG companies in Lebanon and Dubai. He holds a Masters Degree in marketing from Saint Joseph University – Lebanon.

Katia Moutran –Senior Associate |

Ms. Moutran has 6 years of audit & consulting experience with both Deloitte & Touche and Arthur Andersen (1999 – 2005). Prior to joining MENA Capital, Ms. Moutran worked with Fidelity Investments in Boston, USA, where she was exposed to the world of Fund Management. Ms. Moutran is a Certified Public Accountant from the State of California – USA. She holds a BS degree in Accounting and Finance from Notre Dame University – Lebanon.

Wassim Moati –Real Estate Project Manager |

Mr. Moati is a civil engineer with over 7 years of experience in project planning and management, in addition to site supervision and field inspections. Before joining MENA Capital, Mr. Moati was senior site coordinator at Saudi Oger in Riyadh, KSA (2003-2007) where he executed several high-end projects (mostly royal palaces). Before that, he worked as Planning Engineer at CMC Company in Beirut, Lebanon. He graduated from the Lebanese American University in 2001.
