In September 2004, Nabil Sawabini founded MENA Capital S.A.L. MENA Capital, a financial institution regulated by the Central Bank of Lebanon, is focused on Real Estate Development and Private Equity Fund Management, as well as Merchant Banking. Based in Beirut, its investments target the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, and selectively in international markets.
In 1996, he founded and became President and CEO of Middle East Capital Group (MECG), a regional Investment and Merchant Banking firm headquartered in Beirut, with international and regional institutions and Middle Eastern business and investor groups among its shareholders. Mr. Sawabini was earlier with J P Morgan, where he spent twenty years in the US, Europe and the Middle East and in positions of increasing responsibility, including Managing Director and Head Global Asset Services, Head International Securities Sales and Trading, Senior Vice President Corporate Finance and Specialized Finance (Petroleum, Shipping, and Commodities) as well as Treasury and Foreign Exchange.
In 1991/1992, Mr. Sawabini was President of the American University of Beirut (AUB) Alumni of North America, after serving on the board for four years. He is also founder and Chairman of the Entrepreneurial Development Foundation (EDF), since its inception in 1999. EDF is a not-for-profit organization, serving to develop and provide financial support to entrepreneurs in Lebanon. He is also Chairman of several financial and real estate companies.

General Maroun Abou Diwan – Advisor to the Chairman & CEO |

General Abou Diwan has a wide experience in the Public and Military Administrations. During the years 1994 to 2009, he headed the office of the Minister of Interior, and later managed the Vehicles Registration Department.
General Abou Diwan holds a BA degree in English literature from the Lebanese University, and has extensive experience in Public Administration. |

Mohamad Dandan – VP Project Management |

Mr. Dandan has over 20 years of experience in project development, with expertise in quantity surveying, cost management, project management, design/supervision and field inspections, among others. Mr. Dandan was President of DECO, a Lebanese construction company, from 1995 to 2006, and before that he spent 15 years in the United States where he was exposed to various projects as an engineer and project manager. Mr. Dandan is a Civil Engineer, and holds a MS Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA).

Michel Khoury – VP Architecture and Interior Design |

Mr. Khoury has 15 years of architecture and interior design experience with both El Seif contracting and United Lebanese Company for Contracting.
Prior to joining MENA Capital , Mr. Khoury worked for El Seif contracting as Project Coordinator for the Marina Towers project . Mr. Khoury is an architect, and he holds a MS Degree in architecture from Academie Libanaise des Beaux Arts ( ALBA). |

Samer Kahil – VP Finance |

Mr. Kahil Has over 10 years of experience in Financial Management, Audit and Accounting functions with expertise in restructuring, risk assessment, financial reporting, budgeting and cash flow analysis. Prior to joining MENA capital, he was Chief Financial Officer at SCAS Inc of a fund management Company, before which he was the Financial Controller of Sara Group in the UAE and Oman. He started his career with Deloitte & Touche, where he spent 8 years.
He holds a Masters Degree in Finance from Saint Joseph University Lebanon. |
